Top 10 Movie Spoofs

Scary Movie 4 broke an Easter weekend record , earning $41 million at the box office. Despite earning less than Scary Movie 3 ($48.1 million) and the original Scary Movie ($42 million), it is the first Weinstein co. Production to earn the coveted top box office slot. And I say what better way to celebrate this than with a top 10 list celebrating the best parodies. Here it goes: [SOURCE]

——————————————————————————-

1. Airplane! (1980)

Classic line: “Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?”

Did You Know: Mel Brooks wanted to take this joke one step further. After Lili Von Stapp (Madeline Kahn) said the last line, Bart () was supposed to respond, “I hate to inform you m’am, but that’s my elbow you’re sucking on.” But the censors had to draw the line somewhere.

  1. I love Young Frankenstein! Mel Brooks is always great. South Park is always hilarious and very smart. I own both on DVD.

  2. You forgot Monty Python’s Life of Brian and Holy Grail; which spoof King Arthur and King of Kings(the story of Jesus

  3. Great list! This is the first movie spoof list I’ve seen- excellent. While it may not be top ten, Leslie Nielson’s, “Wrongfully Accused” was a hilarius spoof of, “The Fugitive”. Does it get any better than ‘Young Frahnkenshteen’?
