With only 88 days until the Academy Awards, it is time to start thinking about the possible nominees.

The Departed and Dreamgirls will without a doubt be nominated. I can’t see why not.
I’m on the fence about Babel. But as of right now, there is no other movie that can fill it’s spot.
Flags of Our Fathers is a big NO! No shot. Guarantee it.
I have yet to see Little Children so I’m not sure where I stand on that.
The Good Shepard has yet to be released (December 22).
I wouldn’t be surprised if The Queen was nominated.
Little Miss Sunshine is the one movie that is going to go far at this year’s Academy Awards and surprise everyone. I’m willing to put money on it.

I know I’ve said this before, but I just don’t think “Dreamgirls” is Oscar material. I can’t say for sure because I haven’t seen it, but I’m not a fan from the seeing the trailer. I’m thinking “The Queen”, “The Departed”, “The Good Shepherd”, “Babel”, or “Little Children” will be the Best Picture contenders.
