I haven’t seen most of the films nominated yet (that will change soon). But it is nice to see the attention that Mickey Rourke has received for his role in The Wrestler. The same goes for Sally Hawkins and Melissa Leo; it has been a very good year for indie films.

I’m actually getting excited about this years awards because unlike last year, there haven’t been any clear frontrunners for the big prizes. Then again, there is still a month until the Golden Globes and that’s usually when everything becomes painfully obvious.

The 15th Annual SAG Awards are on Sunday, January 25 at TNT/TBS.
