In my attempt to embrace MTV’s version of Skins, I ventured over to the official show page and checked out the latest promotional material. (See, I really am trying!)
I was pleasantly surprised by what I discovered. My complaint about the initial trailer showcased a show that seemed boring and redundant. This 45-second TV spot, however, finally showcases the edginess Skins is known for.Vodpod videos no longer available.
While the characters and story lines might be similar to the original series, this advertising campaign is a push in the right direction to get people interested. (Whether those people are fans of the original series is another issue entirely.)
I’m still skeptical and will be until the January 17 premiere. But I’m slowly easing up.
