Happy Friday! Isn’t Manoel de Oliveira adorable in this video? Look at how he sashays circles around those people who are stuck in an embarassing human traffic jam. Look at how he just ditches that cane. Centenarians, the ones that are still upright, are just precious.
After watching the video, which is from 2008 when the diretor was 99 year old, it occured to me that maybe I should check to see if the Portuguese director is still alive. I hadn’t heard much about him since he was at the Cannes Film Festival last year.
The verdict?
Yes, at 102, Oliveira is still going strong.
