Here’s what I watched this month.
The Breaking Point (dir. Michael Curtiz, 1950)
To Have and Have Not (dir. Howard Hawks, 1944)
Shadows (dir. John Cassavetes, 1959)
The Last Days of Disco (dir. Whit Stillman, 1998)
To Rome With Love (dir. Woody Allen, 2012)
Reap the Wild Wind (dir. Cecil B. DeMille, 1942)
Beasts of the Southern Wild (dir. Benh Zeitlin, 2012)
Beasts of the Southern Wild is probably the most breathtaking film I have seen in ages. It is one of the few movies I cannot wait see again.
Blue Hawaii (dir. Norman Taurog, 1961)
Consider this screen cap to be a preview of the next installment of The Elvis Files.
The Third Man (dir. Carol Reed, 1949)
The Women on the 6th Floor (dir. Philippe Le Guay, 2010)
Ace in the Hole (dir. Billy Wilder, 1951)
Heartburn (dir. Mike Nichols, 1986)
Stalag 17 (dir. Billy Wilder, 1953)
Paris When It Sizzles (dir. Richard Quine, 1964)
How much fun is BAREFOOT IN THE PARK? Flimsy and silly, yes, but so fun and god those two were gorgeous.
A lot of classics here, that’s cool. I absolutely need to see 28 Days Later and Rare Window!
