Tonight’s Movie: Rebel Without a Cause

“I woke up this morning, you know… and the sun was shining, and it was nice, and all that type of stuff. And the first thing, I saw you, and, uh, I said, “Boy, this is gonna be one terrific day, so you better live it up, because tomorrow you’ll be nothing. You see? And I almost was.”

Advice from a Legend

When Hollywood legends speak up, you should listen. Right Lindsay Lohan and company? Well, they probably have no clue who Christopher Lee is anyway.

Lee Slams Hollywood Teens

The problem today, and I think it’s a very dangerous one for the people concerned, is that there are quite large numbers of very young men and women from 18 to 30, and they are playing very large parts in huge films and they simply, through no fault of their own, don’t have the background and the experience and the knowledge to pull if off.

“And it’s dangerous for them because if they are in one failure after another, sooner or later people are going to say, ‘Well, he may have a pretty face but he’s not bringing the public in.’ So many of these good-looking – sometimes even pretty – boys and girls are getting these good roles and it’s not fair on them. At some point it’s going to catch up.”

Good words, Christopher Lee. People should listen (Are you listening yet, Lindsay Lohan and company?) when movie legends share their knowledge of the industry. Sure, H-wood has changed since the days of Hepburn and Tracy, but you can learn so much from their career and the choices they made. If you want to be a legend, those are the leads you should follow.
