Trailer Fix: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Happy Thanksgiving to all! My family has left and I’m bored now. So what better time for a little Harry Potter? Can’t wait to see Imelda Staunton as Umbridge!
Thoughts?
Opening This Weekend
Catch a Fire
Babel (limited realease)
Running With Scissors
Hopefully I will see The Last King of Scotland this weekend, but I have a film paper to write, so that’s probably not happening. Death of a President is playing about 15-20 minutes from me… I might go check that out this week, if I can.
Opening This Weekend
The Departed – Martin Scorcese and a crime drama. Need I say more?
The Queen – Helen Mirren is an early Oscar favorite for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in the weeks following the death of Princess Diana.
Employee of the Month – Jessica Simpson and Dane Cook star in this comedy. I don’t want to say more.
I’m going home this weekend, so I’ll probably be watching a lot of movies. Hopefully, I’ll get to see The Departed and The Queen.
Opening This Weekend
The Last King of Scotland (limited release) starring Forest Whitaker and James McAvoy. An early Oscar contender and Whitaker delivers the performance of his career as Ugandan dictator Idi Amin.
Open Season. The first picture from Sony Pictures Animation featuring the voices of Martin Lawrence, Debra Messing, and Ashton Kutcher. Probably like all the other animated movies we’ve been inundated with lately.
The Guardian. Kevin Costner stars as a Coast Guard veteran who must train the cocky rookie, played by Ashton Kutcher. Sounds familiar? Thats because it’s Top Gun. Will I be seeing this? Yes. And if explained why, you would only think that I was perculiar.
