Here is what I watched in October:
The more I see of Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion, the more excited I get. The movie centers around a growing airborne epidemic, the race to cure it, and the resulting panic. So, it is a jolly good time. Contagion is overloaded with star power. The trailer hints that this cast of many Oscar winners have brought their A-game and can deliver great sound bites (“Don’t talk to anyone. Don’t touch anyone”).
Along with this trailer that just sucks you in, character posters for the six main stars of the ensemble have been released. Just for some fun, I try to guess what these characters will get up to during Contagion.
Last week I posted the poster for Woody Allen’s upcoming Midnight in Paris, starring Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Michael Sheen, and Marion Cotillard. The trailer began making its way around the internet today. Check it out below.
Midnight in Paris seems like a wonderful crowd pleaser. The cinematography, just judging from this trailer, is outstanding; Paris has never looked more gorgeous. I find myself giggling at Michael Sheen’s bearded pseudo-intellectual American and the brief glimpse of Cotillard makes me smile. No doubt she will make the movie all the more memorable. I am so looking forward to May 20.
This is so cute. Marion Cotillard is adorable.
This mural, depicting a moment from Marion Cotillard’s Oscar win, is located in Los Angeles. More information about the mural can be found on LAist.
Winning the Oscar for her performance in La Vie En Rose.
She’s just lovely.
