I was initially worried about the Sex and the City movie. I thought it would be a dishonor to one of my all-time favorite televison shows, but this trailer has made me 1000 times more excited.
The more I hear about this movie, the more it is looking like a nice final chapter in Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte’s stories.
Don’t get me wrong… I have some concerns. But I want to see the movie before I make any judgements based on a 2 minute trailer and say something I might regret
Because having watched the dreadfully awful Cashmere Mafia makes me miss Sex and the City on so many levels. Even if Carrie Bradshaw’s outfits are still wonderfully fugly.
I know! I know! Where have I been? I’m about two days behind with everything. I’ve been super swamped with school and other things at the moment, but hopefully by next week I’ll be more settled into a routine and able to actually update with somewhat decent posts.
Moving on.
I have a confession to make.
Secretly wish that I could be Jennifer Hudson AND secretly I wish I could be on Sex on the City. SO this announcement makes me beyond excited.
Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson will join the cast of the film version of Sex And The City – as Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant, it has been reported. The Dreamgirls star is in final negotiations to join Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon for the long-awaited movie version of the sassy, Emmy Award-winning HBO comedy, according to industry publication Variety. Filming for Sex and the City is due to begin next week. Fellow TV show star Chris Noth is slated to reprise his role as Mr. Big, though none of the other male love interests for the characters have been confirmed.
Great news! Maybe one day I can be both Jennifer Hudson and on Sex and the City.(Hey, a girl can have irrational dreams.) Until then, I’ll be front and center when this movie comes out.
Does this casting make you more excited for the Sex and the City movie, which begins shooting in NYC this week? Sound off below!
